Weird weather and a nasty bout with some bug has kept me away from the birding activities as reports of increasing migrant activity have been pouring in. So while I may still have something in my pictures from a week ago Sunday that will make it into a post I am instead using a few House Sparrow shots I pulled from my Wingscapes Birdcam.
Yesterday, I swung by the Boulder Creek Path, but the wind and creek noise kept me from hearing much, and there weren't many birds in the air. The thirty mile per hour sustained winds today, with gusts reported at 50 mph above that make it extremely unlikely that there will be any birding done before tomorrow at the earliest.
We've had that wind the last two days too. Rather nasty! But we do have hummers at the feeder now! A big plus!
